HIGHLIGHTS
An incredible Tour through the history and ruggedness of a mountain “sacred to the homeland”.
An emotional experience as well as a physical challenge due to the altitude of about 2,000 meters.
We will visit the emplacements where the Italians and Austro-Hungarians fought more than a hundred years ago within a distance of a few tens of meters.

Bring along:
- Bike/trekking shoes (avoid running/gym sneakers and road/spinning shoes)
- Backpack with essential outdoor items (Sunscreen, rain jacket etc.)
Suitable for:
Anybody used to ride MTBs on mountain paths, while not suitable for beginners with no MTB experience.
Difficulty:
The tours are intended as eMountainbike rides, therefore it’s required a minimum level of skills in off-road cycling (i.e. natural environment, steep descents on gravel/unpaved roads, etc.).
The difficulty level is variable, and each tour can be adapted during the ride. Nobody will be asked to ride anything above the personal perception of danger, the Guide will always help in case of necessity and find a different path for the safety of the participants.
At the beginning of the tour there will be a briefing explaining the use of the bike as well as a personalized set-up for each participant.

In the early 20th century the area in northeastern Italy was the scene of World War I, what would be remembered as the “Great War”.
Most of the events and battles between the Kingdom of Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire took place in the Alps, on the borders that at the time lay between northern Lake Garda and Mount Pasubio, our destination for this incredible Tour through the history and ruggedness of a mountain “sacred to the homeland”.
As we travel the Pasubio “Road of Heroes”, we will enter a sort of time machine that will take us to see what efforts were made by both sides to build the best possible access to the front line, carving the rock with tunnels and switchbacks for hundreds of meters from valley to summit.
The soil of this mountain still bears evident traces of bombing, and often returns – more than a century after the end of the conflict – remnants of all kinds, to collect which boxes are still there today.
We will visit the positions where the Italians and Austro-Hungarians fought more than a hundred years ago, only a few dozen meters apart.
